Halloween in Hong Kong is really something

Day started most unpleasantly as one realised that all efforts were in vain, due to lack of clarification. Then came more clarifications , un-clarification and then more clarifications. Then realised once again that it's enormous disturbance when someone is listening and yet not listening.

Realised that perhaps the only way to realise my talents and initiative and entrepreneurship might be to work for myself. But in this market environment, what business can and will survive?

Anyway, the day was saved by the anticipation of watching Saw 5 at Pacific Place. And as usual, twisted and gory as ever but well suited for a Halloween night. I was wondering if the financial tsunami had really it Hong Kong that badly for Pacific Place was largely deserted. But after walking from Admiralty to Central, I realised that the whole of Hong Kong was simply at Lan Kwai Fong. The roadblock was so massive that one has to circle behind Queen's Road Central to behind IFC before one could enter Lan Kwai Fong. And I was dying in my heels.

Thankfully, Da managed to stop a cop, yeah... those at the barricades, and convinced him that we stayed at Midlevels and that we wanted to go home. (thankfully Da carried his krisflyer tag everywhere so at least we can prove our address) So the cop escorted us across the prohibited zone and let us into the usual route to Lan Kwai Fong. Yeah!!! Saved 1 hour and a pair of legs.

Along the way, we managed to catch the best of Hong Kong ... Halloween....streets were entirely filled with funny people. ...
- Kid in Scream mask looking like a fake statue at Landmark Oriental Hotel Door (i wondered if they hired him)
- Zohan!
- Power Rangers
- Skinheads in leather suit
- Mega big afro hair.. i mean really very big
- Doremon
- Cheongsam girls
- Nurses
- Different people with lipstick smeared all over their faces.... but didn't see a bulldog though
- Spiderman
- Cross dressers
- Thai boxer
- Fat Ang Moh wearing only diapers
- Pirates
- Air Stewardess
- Witches
- Fang Bai Li , Fang Yi Li girls
- Jason from Friday the 13
- Fireman
- Ghost busters.. so cute!
- Kabuki
- Dragon Ball
- Doggie with bat's wings... yes..it's a real dog! (we were wondering if we shd bandage 1 of our cats and passed him off as mummy)

Anyway, reason why I am writing now is because my legs had given up on me and it's completely crowded down there.... I had my share of Halloween in Hong Kong! Not bad wor!
